Meeting of the Friendship group of Tajikistan and the European Parliament

January 7, 2015, the next meeting of the Friendship Group of Tajikistan and the European Parliament was held in Brussels. The meeting was also attended by Vice President of the European Parliament Ryszard Czarnecki.

During the meeting, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the European Union, Ambassador Rustam Soliev presented to the members of the European Parliament detailed information on the preparations for the next parliamentary elections in Tajikistan which will be held on March 1, 2015.

It was noted that the parliamentary elections in Tajikistan will be held in a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere in accordance with international standards, the results of which will contribute to the further development of democratic parliamentary system in the country.
